This week let’s take a look at how you build a relationship!

Can someone tell me what they do to build a relationship? What are the things you do to establish a new business relationship?

So let’s look at the steps it takes from the BNI point of view. These are not absolute, simply suggestions.

1. Treat the person like the VIP that they are
2. Always do what you say you will do
3. Keep open and consistent lines of communication
4. Ask them questions about themselves
5. Practice effective listening
6. Acknowledge that it takes time
7. Be prepared to invest time without expecting immediate results
8. Always practice the BNI philosophy – Givers Gain.

This is a great philosophy for building relationships.
